Empty Cravings

There is an emptiness that

Fills us once in a while.

We feel that something is missing,

But we don’t know what.

We began to crave what the

World views as “success”.

We began to want others to

Look at us, too.

We start to work

Harder and harder, just to

Be on top.

We over think,

We are unhappy,

We try to be like others,

And we become sad with

Our lives.

Don’t let this craving rule over you.

It is a dangerous crave.

When you began to feel

Empty and worthless,

Pray.

God will give you the power to be

Satisfied with your life, and the craving will go away.

It’s going to take time, but you will soon see

That you will have joy no matter what happens.

You will understand that

The craving was empty and not fulfilling.

And you will be glad that

You now crave a relationship with God,

Instead of unhappiness.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7

Everthing

We crave everything in the world. We want fame, love, money, houses, cars, friends, and more. When we finally have all of those things, we ask ourselves, “I have everything…but why do I still feel empty?”

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?” Mark 8:36

Words

You should watch what you say,

And think before you speak.

What you say has an

Impact on your life, and other’s.

What you say about someone,

Or even yourself, could possibly

Come true.

You may say, “I was just joking.”,

Well…the enemy wasn’t.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” Proverbs 18:21

When Darkness Transforms Into Light

Door

Something is knocking
On your door…
Are you going to answer it?
When it knocked on
Your door the first time,
You let it into your life.
It appeared to great;
It made you feel good.
After a while, you began
To feel the guilt.
You were fooled
Into believing it was good for you.
It appeared to be light, when
It in reality, it was darkness.
It transformed into
An innocent lamb,
When in reality, it was a wolf
Waiting to devour you.
You defeated it for a moment,
And now it’s back…
Knocking on your door.
Will you answer?

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7

Stormy Ocean

Just because we may not struggle the same, does not mean I don’t struggle at all. Just because I’m a disciple of Christ doesn’t mean I don’t face curiosity, temptation, doubts, fears, worries, confusion, etc. The only difference between you and me is that I have Christ to say “Peace be still” (Mark 4:39), and to teach and guide me when there’s a storm in my spirit. And guess what? So can you.

Snowflake

Japanese Snow Garden

A way to describe you and me?
We’re like snowflakes.
From a distance,
Snowflakes look the same.
Some float in the same direction,
Some follow each other,
Some may look just alike,
Some float faster, or slower, than another,
And some may float longer,
While others land quickly.
However, if you closely analyze a snowflake,
You’ll see they are all one of a kind.
It’s the same with us. From a distance,
We may look the same,
But if we take a closer look at each other,
We are all unique.
We are all different.
We are all one of a kind.
